Ingredients    

4 cups fresh sweet corn kernels (about 4-5 ears of corn)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon sugar (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley or cilantro (optional, for garnish

Instructions  

Shuck the corn: Peel back the husks and remove the silk from the corn cobs Rinse the corn in cold water to get rid of any leftover silk.

Cut the kernels: Hold the corn vertically on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to slice off the kernels. You can also use a corn stripper or special corn cutter if you have one.
