a simple recipe for homemade burger buns:                    

Ingredients  

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 bundle (2 1/4 tsp) dynamic dry yeast

1 cup warm milk (around 110°F / 43°C)

1/4 cup warm water

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 tsp salt

Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions

Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm water (around 110°F / 43°C) and 1 tablespoon of the granulated sugar Sprinkle the yeast over the water and allow it to sit for around 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Mix the dough

 In a large mixing bowl, combine the activated yeast mixture, warm milk, melted butter, remaining sugar, egg, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Add the flour: Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms. Once the dough starts to come together, you can transfer it to a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment to knead the dough.

First rise

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Shape the buns

After the first rise, punch  down the dough to release any air bubbles Partition the batter into 8 equivalent divides and shape each piece into a smooth ball. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them to allow for rising. 

Second rise: Cover the shaped buns with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until they double in size again.

Preheat the oven

 Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Optional topping: If you prefer, you can brush the tops of the buns with a little beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

 Bake the buns              

 Bake the buns in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Cool: Once

baked, remove the buns from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
