Ingredients

For the Marinade 

1.5 lbs (700g) boneless, skinless chicken bosoms or thighs, cut into scaled down pieces

1 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste (or 1 tablespoon each of minced ginger and minced garlic)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon paprika or Kashmiri red chili powder (adjust to taste for spice level)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Salt, to taste

For Grilling and Serving:

 

Skewers (wooden skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes or metal skewers)

Cooking oil or oil spray

Chopped cilantro and lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions   

In a bowl, mix together all the marinade ingredients: yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Add the chicken pieces of the marinade, ensuring they are particularly covered.. Cover the bowl with cling wrap or a top and refrigerate for no less than 2 hours, or ideally short-term. This permits the flavors to enter the chicken and make it delicate.

On account of using wooden sticks, ingest them water for something like 30 minutes to hold them back from polishing off during grilling.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. You can also use a grill pan or an oven broiler.

String the marinated chicken pieces onto the sticks, leaving a little space between each piece.

Brush the grill grates with a bit of oil to prevent sticking. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char on the outside. Cooking time may vary based on the size of the chicken pieces and the heat of your grill.

When the chicken is cooked, eliminate the sticks from the barbecue and let them rest for several minutes.
