Ingredients

500 grams chicken, cut into pieces

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

2 green chilies, sliced

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1 tablespoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

Ginger slices for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in an enormous dish or karahi over medium intensity..

Add the slashed onions and sauté until they become brilliant brown.

Add the ginger and garlic paste to the pan and cook for another minute, stirring continuously.

Add the chicken parts of the dish and cook until they are gently seared on all sides.

Add the hacked tomatoes and green chilies to the skillet. Mix well and cook for a couple of moments until the tomatoes mellow.

Reduce the heat to low and add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix everything together to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.

Cover the pan with a lid and let the chicken cook on low heat for about 20-25 minutes or until it is tender and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
